Clients: What to tell us on the phone

To fill your need for a freelance writer quickly, it would be helpful for you to know the following information before calling:

  • Will the work be on- or off-site? Some of our writers prefer one to the other, while others don't mind either way. Knowing this information will help us determine which writers would be the best for the specific project you have in mind.

  • If the work is on-site: How long is the project expected to last? What are the estimated hours involved? Since freelance writers work on a contractual basis, the schedules that they keep are ever-changing and sometimes unpredictable. If the hours and days are known ahead of time, it is more likely to find a writer who will be available for the duration of the project.

  • If the work is off-site: What is the estimated timeframe involved? What are the deadlines? Will there be any person-to-person meetings involved?

  • Is there a budget that you have in mind? Because our writers set their own hourly rates/project fees, the prices tend to vary quite a bit. We have excellent, experienced writers in every price range, so the quality of work is never less than the best. Knowing what you have to spend can help us find the best writer within your budget.

  • Would a writing background in a specific area be helpful? Our database is comprised of more than 550 individuals with individual writing talents and experience levels. To find the perfect writer for your project, it would be helpful to know a little bit more about your business and the types of specialties the work will benefit from.
